2023 BOSTON ATHLETIC ACADEMY HIGHLIGHT SUMMARY
What a stellar year it's been at the Boston Athletic Academy—a true home run for both education and baseball!
In the realm of education, we knocked it out of the park by providing students with a dynamic learning environment. Summer school wasn't just about catching up; it was an opportunity to soar ahead. Our students not only tackled their coursework but also juggled their academic pursuits along with the excitement of baseball tournaments.

Our STEM program added an extra layer of brilliance to the summer, turning the facility into a hub of scientific exploration. The back-to-school backpack drive ensured every student started the academic season on a high note, and FASFA nights equipped families with the tools to navigate the financial side of education.
In creating an environment for success, we provide our student-athletes access to Google Chromebooks, turning our facility into a haven for homework and study sessions. Education at Boston Athletic Academy isn't just about grades; it's about nurturing a holistic approach to learning.
And let's talk baseball! We started this year with three BAA Hammerhead Baseball Teams in The New Balance Select league for the Spring and Summer. By the Fall, we were privileged to increase from three to seven teams, showcasing our talent with two championship wins. Our 16U and 10U Hammerhead Baseball Teams dominated the competition, proving that excellence can run in every age group.
The excitement continued with our 16U Hammerhead Baseball Team securing a well-deserved second place in the firecracker tournament, and our 13U team displayed their skills with a second-place finish in the spring classic tournament.

In regards to the Boston Athletic Academy’s culture, values, and messaging, we’ve developed an acronym that embodies the intangibles that we teach our participating youth outside of playing baseball.
A baseball swing is a fundamental part of the game - it's active; you have to be intentional and focused; and there's so many different forms and techniques. Success has no boundaries, and S.W.I.N.G. is the mentality and perspective we instill into our youth to push each one beyond their current circumstances and to achieve their dreams.

THE BOSTON ATHLETIC ACADEMY LEADERSHIP HAS BEEN ABLE TO ACHIEVE A BALANCE IN EMPHASIZING BOTH ACADEMICS & SPORTS.
Student-Athletes logged 5,000+ hours of study hall at our facility classroom.
The average grade performance of our student-athletes have increased by more than 20 percent (2022-2023).
100 percent of our high school student-athletes are focused on graduating, and playing college baseball.

Derek, one of our high school players, has always been fascinated with two things - baseball and cooking. His passions, now pursuits, led him to expressing interest in the culinary arts with President Jose Diaz. Using his extensive experience in collegiate academics, Jose coordinated Derek's college visit to one of the best culinary arts programs in the country, Johnson & Wales University.

In October, Boston Athletic Academy partnered with the Boston Red Sox and Boston Baggo Company to host a community appreciation event.
